The villain Wotan seeks out the Library of Infinity as it floats in limbo. Two gigantic guardian statues bar his path but he easily destroys them. However, Dr. Fate and Batman appear before him. Wotan smashes them into the laboratory and then summons fire demons. Batman takes them on while Dr. Fate engages Wotan. Using explosives, Batman shatters them apart but they only reform into more demons that overwhelm him. Batman tries to hold them off and finally grabs one of their own swords and uses it against them.

Babyface and his mob break into a candy factory to rob a safe, but are interrupted by the intervention of two heroes: Plastic Man and Elongated Man. As they go after the villains, Elongated Man complains that the public seems to prefer Plastic Man. Plastic Man is more then happy to point out that Batman prefers him as a teammate and they hang out together in their spare time. They take down the mobsters one at a time, and Elongated Man stops Plastic Man when he tries to take some of the loot. When they spot a fleeing Babyface, the two heroes get tangled up and fall into a taffy puller. Fortunately, Batman is there to knock out Babyface and tell them that between the two of them, he prefers to work alone.

Two years ago, Batman and the Silver Age Blue Beetle arrive to investigate a company and quickly subdue hostile security guards. Continuing inside, they set off an alarm and are caught between approaching laser grids: each hero disabling the one on their side with high-tech gear. The floor collapses, dropping them into a cafeteria and forcing them to engage in some old-fashioned fisticuffs.

In the present, day, Paco and Jaime are camping in the desert and discussing superhero origins. Jaime angrily insists that are heroes are chosen for a reason but Paco believes it’s dumb luck.

In the distant future in the ruins of a modern city, Kamandi, the Last Boy on Earth, is leading Batman to a time fissure, accompanied by Dr. Canus. They suddenly come under attack by ratmen armed with energy weapons. Batman sets off an exploding Batarang, dropping them into the river, and then attacks the others while Kamandi and Dr. Canus go ahead. Batman slips into the sewers, unaware that another ratman is following them underwater. He surfaces to attack Batman and the others aboard their raft, and Kamandi knocks him out. They get to the Statue of Liberty where the time fissure is, and Batman prepares to leave with a vaccine he came to get their help to develop. Batman leaves through the portal and Kamandi and Dr. Canus go to the statue’s left nostril where Batman has left a time capsule in their past, his present, for them. The time capsule holds an energy weapon and Kamandi uses it to take out the approaching ratmen.

A policeman is admiring a spider when a giant Black Manta robot walks through the park with a stolen armored car. Batman is in pursuit along with his ally: B’wana Beast, who merges a spider and the policeman’s horse together to form a horse-spider. B’wana Beast leaps aboard it and rides after Black Manta. The two heroes close in and B’wana Beast rides his mount up the walls and then spins a web. The robot cuts through the webbing and fires missiles which B’wana Beast avoids. Batman fires some missiles of his own and draws Black Manta’s attention. Batman takes to the air in his Batcycle in helicopter mode and flies toward the pier. Meanwhile, B’wana Beast grabs a pelican and merges it with a shark, then flies it into the cockpit and subdues the villain. As Black Manta is taken away, Batman is forced to admit B’wana Beast’s power is useful… if gross.

On the planet Oa, headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps, Green Lanterns arrive at the Central Power Battery as Batman pays a visit to join Guy Gardner on a clean-up assignment. Batman has heard of Guy, and knows he tends to get into trouble. Guy taunts one small alien prisoner, pouring a cup of coffee on him. Batman points out too late that the alien race grows to giant-sized when exposed to liquid. The now giant-sized alien goes on a rampage and the Green Lanterns assemble to defeat it. It casually knocks them aside and Batman throws an exploding Batarang into it. The Caped Crusader swings across the room as Guy Gardner launches an attack of his own. Batman takes advantage of the distraction to jury-rig a device. The alien grabs Guy and slams him into a wall, and Batman offers his help. He swings on top of the alien and attaches the device, draining it of all its moisture and reducing it back to its normal size.

At a bowling arena, a Christmas tournament is taking place for a major prize. They’re interrupted when the Sportsmaster and his minions make their entrance. He places the bowlers in giant bowling pins and prepares to win the trophy using an explosive ball. Batman arrives and deflects the ball. Blue Beetle comes to Batman’s aid and the Caped Crusader tells him to go after the minions. Blue Beetle is distracted by his now-talking suit. It inflates to provide him with extra muscles and he knocks them into the normal bowling pins. Meanwhile, Sportsmaster makes a run for it but Batman trips him with a bowling pin. The Blue Beetle invites Batman to Christmas dinner at is home, but Batman has to turn him down, noting that crime doesn’t take a holiday.

At a ruined temple, Felix Faust has chained Batman to a column and prepares to open Pandora’s Box and unleash the evils within. Faust clamps Batman’s mouth shut and prepares the incantation, and a tentacled creature starts to emerge. However, the clamp unclicks apparently by itself and drifts off. Felix Faust throws a magical blast at him but the chains drop free and Batman raises his hand, apparently summoning the book to his hand. Faust tries to blast him but Batman uses the book as a shield and it’s destroyed, resealing Pandora’s Box. An astonished Faust can’t conceive of how the Caped Crusader used such powerful magicks. Batman floats into the air… and the Atom enlarges next to him, having secretly provided an assist. The two heroes knock out the sorcerer.

On the Day of the Dead in Mexico, Batman and Plastic Man are in the streets above, tracking the Gentleman Ghost. He fires ghostly exploding bullets at them and Batman responds with grenades, forcing him to lose the money bag. Plastic Man insists on grabbing the money where Batman pursues the Ghost to a nearby cemetery. There’s a grave for Batman there, and the Gentleman Ghost fires a blast from his cane, knocking the Caped Crusader into the grave. The Gentleman Ghost prepares to dispose of him but a new hero arrives: Fire. The woman avoids the Gentleman Ghost’s bullets and Batman subdues the Ghost using Nth metal brass knuckles and handcuffs. Plastic Man arrives and Batman reminds him to drop the money: all of it.

The Clock King has captured Batman and Green Arrow and is dangling them over a vat of acid. He and his henchmen depart on a clock helicopter and the clock strikes midnight, and the weight stars to lower into the acid. Green Arrow uses a rocket arrow to free Batman’s hand and Batman severs the wait lifting them up to safety. They take on the clock guardians while Batman admits to himself he’d rather have Green Arrow at his side then anyone else.
